What do you recommend to the companies that planning to migrate their infrastructure to Oracle Cloud?
- Firstly Get involved and increase hands-on experience by using Oracle cloud’s Always free offerings
- Do an Assessment including for the cloud costs
- Start small by moving few production environments. Oracle cloud supports hybrid cloud interrogations and able to work other cloud vendor infrastructures
- You are already going to see lots of advantages that Oracle cloud offers, in this case prepare a detail migration project plan and work with experienced people for the migration
- Run multiple dry&run tests before the migrations
- Always have backup and rollback plans while migrating to Oracle cloud just in case.

For a smooth cloud migration project; you need an experienced cloud team, a partner not only knows the data also know development, network, application servers, file servers and storages… etc. Volthread has all these skills. Migrating the data and knowing the data later is not enough by itself. You need to know how connect applications to databases. In this case things would be more easy.
